50 Moves, 30 Minutes and No Humans: MIT robot builds and repairs its own science experiment

MIT researchers have developed a robotic laboratory that can independently assemble and align optics experiments. In a demonstration, the robot built a working laser cavity in about 30 minutes and restored its alignment after researchers disturbed the setup.
