Akamai Lands $11.6 Billion Anthropic Deal in Biggest AI Cloud Contract of 2026
Akamai shares surged more than 20 percent on September 24 after announcing a $11.6 billion, seven-year AI cloud deal with Anthropic, the largest of 2026. The contract is built on CPU workloads, not GPUs, and includes an equity warrant for up to 5 percent of Akamai stock.
