Delhi government and RBI have prepared to make major digital changes in the ration system. Now the ration received under PDS will be distributed through CBDC i.e. digital currency. The government claims that this will stop ration theft, black marketing and fraud. Beneficiaries will get digital currency equal to the value of ration directly in the wallet, which can be used only for purchasing ration.
