Direct self-reports outperform implicit bias tests in predicting race-related behavior

Can implicit bias tests predict how people actually behave? A new adversarial collaboration finds that while indirect tests capture a tiny fraction of hidden bias, traditional self-report surveys are vastly superior at predicting race-related decisions.
