Ferry service snarled across Puget Sound region amid engine worker sick out
Seattle-area ferry commutes were snarled Monday, Oct. 5, 2026 as engine room workers called in sick all at once. Entire routes were cancelled, or heavily limited.
UPDATE: Washington state Governor Bob Ferguson issued a statement Monday afternoon, noting his expectation that all ferries be operating as normal by Tuesday morning.
