Government to procure medicines directly, aims to eliminate middlemen

To improve medicine quality and reduce costs, the Health Department will eliminate middlemen, allowing direct manufacturer tenders, ensuring all 865 required medicines are procured, and prioritising primary importers for foreign drugs.
