Starcloud Signs First Commercial Lunar Data-Center Contract With Firefly

Lunar data center startup Starcloud and Firefly Aerospace signed the first commercial AI computing contract beyond Earth orbit, with Starcloud's SC-1L payload set to process Moon-generated imagery aboard Firefly's Elytra vehicle in 2028, proving cislunar edge compute requires a fundamentally different architecture than low Earth orbit AI services.
