A.I. lobbyists in statehouses across the U.S.

As big tech companies call for safety rules and legislation on A.I., lobbying records show power players continue to fight against legal guardrails in statehouses across the country. One of the biggest A.I. lobbyists is an industry group called TechNet. It bills itself as having “engaged on 808 bills across 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico, with our policy position prevailing 87% of the time.” NBC New York’s Chris Glorioso reports.
