A 62-year-old businessman from Bhiwandi lost around Rs 15 lakh after falling victim to a cryptocurrency scam orchestrated through Facebook. The fraudster gained his trust, introduced a fake trading platform and displayed bogus profits before blocking withdrawals and demanding an additional Rs 28 lakh commission. Police have registered a cyber fraud case.
