<p>Chicago police shot and killed a dog that attacked them while the officers were working on an investigation in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Monday, police said.</p><p>Shortly before 5 p.m., the officers were in the 700 block of North Christiana Avenue when a dog approached and attacked an officer. One of the officers then shot the dog. </p><p>The dog died and the city's Department of Animal Care and Control was notified.</p><p>Three officers were taken to nearby hospitals in good condition.
