Jalore is directly connected to the rail network from Delhi for the first time. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the Jalore–Delhi inaugural special train. The new rail service is expected to give new impetus to trade, education, employment, tourism and granite industry in West Rajasthan. Besides, emphasis was also laid on railway development projects and expansion of modern trains in Rajasthan.
