Explosions rock Damascus near hotel hosting French President Emmanuel Macron

French officials say Mr Macron did not hear the blasts, and his motorcade continued through the streets of the Syrian capital to a meeting with President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, in the first by a European head of state since 2024.
