Food inflation is hard to digest for central banks

Ratesetters ​are focused on how ⁠the Gulf ​war is affecting ​energy and gas prices, but fertiliser shortages are ​a big ​problem. Historically, food impacts rich ‌nations’ ⁠core inflation 10 times more than energy, and ​takes longer ​to ⁠unwind. In poorer countries, ​the impact is ​starker.
