General Atomics, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy, is developing design concepts for a Fusion Blanket Component Test Facility (BCTF) to test full-scale fusion power-plant blankets using lithium-based materials. The facility aims to address key engineering challenges for commercial fusion power.
