Panaji, Jun 13 (PTI) The Goa government has ordered the electricity department to put on hold the installation of smart meters and collection of power load-linked penalties following public backlash, with opposition Congress saying the move exposed flaws in the exercise. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant issued the orders on Friday evening. He announced that the rollout of smart meters and the collection of penalty fines on inflated power bills are officially on hold. He advised consumers not to pay
