On Wednesday night, Sydney musician Aidan Sammut stood at the back of Newtown live music venue Bootleggers with the rest of his band, watching the act before their own gig and unsure what was worse: that the audience comprised a total of three people, or that they were watching what they believed to be a set of AI-generated music.
