Intense rainfall over the Pembina Valley Tuesday evening led to significant accumulations over a short period of time as a line of severe thunderstorms swept through the area. Overland and street flooding was reported in several areas in Winkler, including South Railway Avenue, Mountain Avenue and sections of Main Street in the downtown area, as well as Kimberly Road by Southland Mall. City crews have erected barricades at a number of locations within the city due to flooded streets. - With file
