ISRO clears major rocket engine test, takes step towards heavier launches

ISRO achieved a significant milestone with a successful hot test of its Semi-Cryogenic Engine Power Head Test Article, reaching a thrust of 175 tonnes. This crucial step, demonstrating steady-state operation at 88% capacity, paves the way for a 200-tonne thrust engine. This advanced propulsion system, utilizing LOX and kerosene, is set to boost the LVM3 rocket's payload capacity and efficiency, marking a leap in India's space capabilities.
