Nitin Gupta, who secured All India Rank 1 in IIT-JEE 2000, returned to IIT Kanpur in 2014 after spending four years there as a science student. His work now uses insect brains and digital mental-health tools to investigate how nervous systems process information and translate it into behaviour.
