Millions of people in England taking antidepressants for years despite concerns over long-term side effects

Almost nine million people in England were prescribed an antidepressant last year, with around half taking them for more than two years. Experts are warning that the benefits of extended antidepressant use are being overstated, and that they may be linked to serious side effects.
