NASA Cold Atom Lab resumed operations this week following its fourth and final hardware upgrade, replacing the science module with the SM-3X system that creates Bose-Einstein condensates five times larger than before and enables atom interferometry tests of dark matter and Einstein's equivalence principle at precision no ground lab can match.
