Preparations have intensified to give a new direction to the economic and strategic relations between India and Canada. Union Minister Piyush Goyal's visit to Canada is raising prospects of major agreements in areas like trade, AI, clean energy, critical minerals and defense cooperation. Both countries are working towards the target of increasing bilateral trade to 70 billion Canadian dollars by 2030.
