Russia is reportedly using a new version of its jet-powered Geran-5 strike drone as Moscow continues to upgrade its long-range weapons against Ukraine. The new variant, referred to by monitoring sources as the Geran-5 K5, may use an autonomous optical navigation system that allows it to follow terrain even when satellite navigation is disrupted. Reports also suggest a redesigned fuselage and higher speed. Ukraine has not yet officially confirmed the K5 designation or the reported optical system.
