S&P/TSX composite rises more than 100 points, U.S. markets post mixed results

TORONTO — Canada's main stock index drove further into record territory, helped by gains in the basic materials sector, while U.S. markets were mixed. The S&P/TSX composite index was up 113.94 points at 35,389.58.
